Cardiothoracic Surgeons

The Medical Center's cardiothoracic surgery team is led by W. Randy Carter, Jr., M.D. and Paul M. Moore, M.D. These board certified physicians lead a dedicated surgery team that deliver the highest quality heart care, allowing residents of Southcentral Kentucky to stay close to home.


W. Randy Carter, Jr., MD
is board certified in General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed his residency in General Surgery at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia. He completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

 

 



Paul M. Moore, MD
is board certified in General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School and completed his residency in General Surgery at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia. He completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.
