Caring for Women at all stages

Women’s Health – For Every Stage of Life

Women’s health needs are unique. And it’s important to find a healthcare provider who understands that. No matter where you are in life, and what challenge you’re facing, we’ll help you find the best path forward.

We offer a complete range of women’s health services from obstetrics to adult and adolescent gynecological care at Women’s Health Specialists. No matter what your situation, our experienced, compassionate staff will put you at ease as they help you find a treatment plan that’s right for you.

When gynecological surgery is required, we have access to the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System for a minimally-invasive procedure that results in less pain, fewer complications, a shorter hospital stay, and smaller incisions for less scarring.

If you need the care of a gynecologic oncologist, UK HealthCare physicians see patients at Women’s Health Specialists to diagnose and treat a variety of cancers in women close to home.

For high-risk pregnancies, The Medical Center at Bowling Green has access to maternal-fetal medicine and specialized care through Norton Children’s Services and The Perinatal Group. This includes specialized care for women carrying multiples or facing challenges such as premature labor, maternal hypertension, gestational diabetes and more.

We also take part in “Healthy Babies Are Worth The Wait,” a March of Dimes program designed to prevent premature births and promote healthy outcomes. By working with doctors and educating the public, we successfully reduced the rate of early elective deliveries to less than the national average (1.5%).

Time for some girl talk

Women in their 20s and 30s have a lot of demands on them. Making sure your physical health is under control is the best way to handle the demands made of you every day. If you think you feel pretty good so you don’t need a doctor, consider that many chronic illnesses – such as high blood pressure – begin with little or no symptoms.
