Our highly trained team of men and women are dedicated to serving you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Three divisions make up The Medical Center's EMS unit:
Basic Life Support Service
Advanced Life Support Service
Special Emergency Response Team (which includes dealing with hazardous material, mass casualties, or any other unusual situation)
Special events need special attention, and the EMS team is prepared. The department covers events such as walks, runs and festivals year round. The team deploys specialized vehicles to provide rapid response where large crowds are gathered. For more information, see our Special Event Coverage Guidelines. If you are interested in EMS coverage at your event, please email the information requested in the guidelines to MedicalCenterEMS@chc.net.
The EMS staff spends countless hours involved with community events, local schools, church groups, and other health-related functions throughout the community. EMS provides tours to students to let them better understand how the paramedics and EMTs are trained and equipped to handle all matters of emergency health care. If you are interested in EMS participation with your community group or event, see our Special Event Coverage Guidelines. Information requested in the guidelines should be sent to MedicalCenterEMS@chc.net.
Medical Center EMS personnel conduct education classes and seminars for many local groups. They provide continuing education and training for EMTs, paramedics, and First Responders (including police officers and firefighters). If you are interested in emergency response training for your group, email MedicalCenterEMS@chc.net.
