The Medical Center has the most advanced brain and spine tumor program in Southern Kentucky. Neuro-oncology is a focused specialty concerning the diagnosis and treatment of brain and spine cancer and other tumors of the central and peripheral nervous system. It consists of a multi-disciplinary team that includes multiple specialists including:

• Neuro-oncologic surgeon
• Radiation oncologist
• Medical oncologist
• Radiologist
• Pathologist
• Neuro-oncology nurse practitioner
• Nutritionist
• Physical and occupational therapists

A monthly Neuro-oncology Tumor Conference allows team members to discuss cases and form treatment plans.
